Learning Processes

EcoSol Consulting Inc. will create and deliver programs, workshops and learning processes tailored to your needs. Here are some examples of work we have done.

CREATING FLOURISHING PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS

Dramatic changes in organizations are shifting the assumptions we have held about teams, operating units, boundaries and responsibilities and roles. Partnerships and collaborative approaches have increased significantly. They are changing the nature of how we relate in organizations and necessitate new ways of thinking, leading and communicating.

Overview

Partnering is not a matter of simple techniques and approaches, but requires reframing of expectations and functions. This program focuses on:

    • The Rationale for Partnership and Collaboration
    • The Key Aspects of a Partnership or Collaboration
    • The Process of Partnering – What Happens
    • Making Partnerships Work – from governance to day-to-day realities.

The program has a practical, hands on focus, using real organizational examples, as well as building the mastery and skills necessary to be effective in working in collaborative ventures. It can be customized to unique situations and its scope and focus tailored to individual needs.

Objectives and Benefits

This program is intended to provide a context and framework for working in partnering situations. It is of value when partners are coming together at the formation stage. It will be helpful in creating the environment for successful partnerships. At the implementation stage, it will enable participants to be more effective in the day to day management of partnerships and collaborations, be they internal or external to the organizational context.

Target Audience

Senior Managers, operational managers, intact work teams, emerging partners

DEALING WITH CONFLICT AND POWER RELATIONS

The resolution of conflict and power issues within organizations is essential to performance and productivity. This program is a multidimensional approach to issues of conflict and power relations. It goes beyond the tips and techniques to explore the sources of conflict and power relations, and to create a context for changing the relationships and strategies with which we deal with power and conflict.

Overview

The program, designed as a minimum two day session, focuses on power relations within an organizational context, examining what power means to all of us, sources of leadership power and the role of information and power. The issues related to ‘politics’ within organizations are a focus of discussion, and strategies for dealing with them are examined in the context of experientially working through simulations and cases.

The sources of conflict, developing self awareness of our own preferences and approaches to responding to conflict are examined. The program develops behavioral guidelines for dealing with practical day to day conflict issues

Objectives and Benefits:

This program will provide participants with increased skill and ability in dealing with conflict and power relations within their organization. They will be more effective in dealing with day to day issues, as well as have the ability to structure an environment which provides positive and productive approaches to working together.

Target: intact work teams, senior management, individuals within organizations.

DIGGING DEEPER FOR NEW POSSIBILITIES

Need a new perspective? The creativity, innovation and resilience of the our work in organizations depends on our willingness to re-invent ourselves – to ‘dig deeper’, to understand roots and interconnectedness. Too busy to reflect on, let alone respond to, new possibilities?

Overview

This one – day experiential workshop focuses on the personal, structural and community facets of a ‘dimensional shift’, using case studies, dialogue and reflection. We will explore how to be more authentic, effective and truly responsible, and leave with energy, tools and ideas to act powerfully and creatively.

Objectives and Benefits

This workshop invites participants to explore together the key elements of a dimensional shift in our approach to personal growth and change. Specifically the workshop is intended:

  1. To have participants be inspired to act creatively and boldly.
  2. To have developed some skills and tools to reframe situations
  3. To have participants experience a sense of connectedness and being part of a bigger whole (link between outer and inner – in the world).

Targets

This workshop is intended for individuals and groups who recognize the link between our inner world and how we perform in the outer world.
